Item Number: S197-11003This Stainless Steel Hood Pin Set from Scott Drake Automotive Group is required if you want to install a Fiberglass or Carbon Fiber Hood. In the internet you will find plenty reports of broken hood latches or loosing the upper shell of the hood while driving fast (even slow), which of course is quite dangerous. So we also recommend to use Hood Pins to be on the secure side!

[STAINLESS STEEL]Due to its alloy, stainless steel is characterized by a high level of corrosion protection. This protection is achieved through a higher chromium content than normal steel. High-quality stainless steel is therefore very durable. V2A stands for CrNi steel and V4A means CrNiMo steel. Aggressive external influences arising from the environment can endanger the material and lead to rust or discoloration, e.g. in the case of high environmental pollution caused by combustion exhaust gases, soot particles and unburned oil particles caused by heavy vehicle traffic. We recommend cleaning the stainless steel parts several times a year, but never with harsh cleaning agents, but only with special stainless steel cleaning and care products!
