Item Number: S550-11058This Billet Hood Pin Set from Scott Drake Automotive Group is required if you want to install a Fiberglass or Carbon Fiber Hood. In the internet you will find plenty reports of broken hood latches or loosing the upper shell of the hood while driving fast (even slow), which of course is quite dangerous. So we also recommend to use Hood Pins to be on the secure side. These Hood Pins are similar to the Shelby one`s, only without Shelby Logo!

[ALUMINUM]When exposed to air, aluminum quickly forms an oxide layer that makes it corrosion-resistant. However, various substances such as salts or acids can have a decomposing effect on the material (e.g. salty sea air, sea water, dissolved grit, skin sweat), which is why we recommend cleaning and impregnating the surface regularly, e.g. with a suitable sealant!
